About the event
Participants in this class will drive away with a basic understanding of the following topics:
· Safe driving practices
· Trail etiquette
· Seating position and visibility, steering and hand position
· Spotting techniques and communication
· Environment + Driver Skill + Vehicle Capability
· Ascending, descending, off-camber driving
· Rock obstacles, water crossings, hairpin turns, shelf roads
· 4WD vehicle systems and capabilities
· Tires (type, load range, pressure)
This course will use a combination of lecture and practical skills demonstration. We will spend time on lecture and behind the wheel.
